Sprang
Sprang is an ancient form of weaving without a weft, crafted on a frame. It's a very simple introduction to weaving that can be mastered by anyone. Threads are twisted to create a flexible material that can be used for all kinds of things from socks to hairnets.
A TTT Sprang Workshop includes all equipment and wool, with full instruction and a piece of sprang to take away at the end of the day. Also includes a talk on the history of this most ancient textile craft.

Naalbinding ('needle binding') is an ancient form of one-needle knitting popularised by the Viking peoples of Scandinavia over 1,000 years ago. It is a technique similar to crochet but using a large needle and chunky wool. Useful for socks, mittens and scarves, the basic technique of this art will leave you hungry to learn the 30-odd other stitches that can be achieved using this art!
A TTT Naalbinding workshop will supply you with the tools, wool and tuition you need to learn this technique.

This craft has a history spanning thousands of years, and evidence of its use can be found as far afield as Ancient Greece and India. It's surprisingly simple to learn, and is highly addictive! It's a very portable craft and can be taken with you on long journeys as easily as knitting.
Travellers Through Time's Trichinopoly Workshop will provide you with all the tools and material to make a stunning bracelet, plus a talk on how trichinopoly was used through the ages.

A perfect workshop for younger children, Brownies, Rainbows, reading groups and kids' clubs. Learn how to make quick and easy beautiful friendship bands with three different techniques that date back thousands of years. Not only will your young people take away 3 different designs, but they will learn new skills, gaining confidence in their abilities to create and experiment, whilst learning what life was like for children like them in times gone by.
All tools and material provided. Workshop ends with a story.
